November Workplace Wellness Planning

Once we get into the swing of fall it can be easy to let workplace wellness initiatives (among other things) start to slide off the agenda. Taking time to keep focus on wellness at work can help reduce stress, maintain productivity and improve workplace satisfaction. This can be especially true for businesses and individuals who find the upcoming holidays (and associated planning) very stressful.

So besides Movember, what else can you be doing at work to promote health and wellness, and maybe event have some fun? Check out a few of my suggestions below:

November Health Promotion Days:

Other Notable Days in November:

  • Stress Awareness Day (November 6): Why not have a stress break or bring someone in to your workplace to do a workshop on stress management. Also, November 6 happens to be Nachos Day… I’m not sure this is a coincidence. Nachos always make me feel less stressed.

  • World Kindness Day (November 13): Why not challenge employees to do something kind for another co-worker? Or instead, have employees add notes to a bulletin board about the kindness they have seen around their workplace.

  • Cake Day (November 26): Celebrate with cake. Lots of it.

  • Chocolate Day (November 29): Celebrate with chocolate. Lots of it.
